Release

Today we are all being asked to release everything we are attached to in the physical realm. This is one of the most difficult tasks we face as we open our crown chakras and connect to our higher consciousness, the universe, and spirit or “the source”. There are many techniques we can use to sever these chords with unconditional love to reach our full potential. I will be going over three that have helped me along my journey.

  1. Meditate – focus on your breath for about three deep inhales. Feel the air pass through your nasal passage and down your throat. Notice your belly rise and then your chest. Allow your exhale to be slow and soft as both your chest and belly decompress together as the air leaves your nose. Picture yourself floating in a bubble of light permeating the universe. From your body there are infinite strings. Picture people, places, emotions, and objects that tie you to the physical realm. Now begin to visualize one at a time and cut the chord between yourself and what you are focused on. As you release each of these one by one, practice unconditional love regardless to how you think or feel about this person, place, feeling, object, etc. Feel your body getting lighter and lighter and shining brighter and brighter. As you feel this, notice your body rising higher and higher until it becomes enveloped by your higher consciousness. Picture your physical form deteriorating as your true form of a light body filled with love takes its place. Soak up this moment and show gratitude to your guides, the source, and most importantly, yourself.
  2. Crystal Healing – Stones of choice for this exercise are Rainbow Obsidian and Apophyllite. (If you do not have a Rainbow Obsidian, then I suggest your favorite grounding stone. If you do not have an Apophyllite, then I suggest a Clear Quartz). Hold your Rainbow Obsidian in your left hand over your heart, and place your Apophyllite on your third eye. Notice all attachments, memories, and feelings from this physical body and life soak up into your Rainbow Obsidian like a sponge. Allow the movie of your life to reel into the stone from your heart and hand that rules your subconscious. Once finished focus on the Apophyllite over your third eye. Notice the world around you melt away as the space around you is almost white washed as a cleansing, pure light surrounds you. Feel your body shoot straight up to the universe, greeted by your higher self. Allow the peaceful bliss sink in as you express gratitude to your guides, the universe, and yourself.
  3. Cleanse in Water – A river or ocean are ideal for this exercise. A lake, pool, shower, or bath are a close second! Do not fret for results will be the same – I personally enjoy running water in nature. Submerge yourself into your body of water of choice or convenience. Focus on the sound of the water (if in still water put your ears underneath the surface) to drown out your thoughts, voices of spirit, and life. Picture the water extracting all ties to the physical realm. Feel it move through each of your seven main chakras allowing them to spin and shine brightly. Let the rejuvenating water wash everything away until your body becomes a space that only stores light and love. Feel your body rise into your light body as you become reconnected with your soul. Express gratitude for your life, this moment, and yourself.

I hope these techniques help any of you still trying to release attachments to achieve a soul connection with yourself!

Candles represent all four of the sacred elements. The wick represents our Mother Gaia of Earth bringing secure, sound structure. The flame represents fire controlling the burning passion within each and every one of us. The essential oils represent water being fluid and flexible allowing for constant change and metamorphosis. Finally the fuel keeping the flame aglow is the last element of air bringing life to the entire process. This reiki infused beauty is blended with lavender, ylang ylang and rosemary to heighten a calming peace over my dream state. I hope everyone is having a lovely evening and sweet slumber.⠀

What is a Totem?

A Totem is a spirit, plant, animal, or symbol that represents a family, clan, or group. Totems often represent the heart and soul of each individual and their ancestry. It is believed that when a Totem enters our life, they are bringing messages of safe advice to aid in our current life situation. When we hear the word “Totem” we often think of Totem poles. These beautiful structures are carvings made from trees along the Northwest American coastline. Each pole tells a story of the clan’s history, acknowledges the passing of a loved one, or even shames someone for bad behavior. Regardless of the representation of the Totem pole, the various symbols and animals used allow the viewer to understand its meaning.

The Dragonfly’s Story

Dragonflies are born in ponds or streams, where they spend the first two years of life. Water represents our subconscious and emotional subtle body. When we are young, we often allow our subconscious to rule our minds as our dreams and fantasies overflow from within. As children, we also allow our emotions to overtake us since we do not yet know how to accept or express them properly. After the first two years, dragonflies sprout wings and take to the skies. Air controls our intellect and communication. When we transform into adulthood, we are expected to balance both our mental and emotional subtle bodies. This allows us to feel fully, think rationally, and communicate effectively.

Dragonfly Totem

The dragonfly represents self-realization, transformation, and adaptability. It enters our life with the message of remembering to live with a lighthearted, effervescent joy as we morph into our higher selves. We are challenged to break away from old habits, and create a new life based on our desires and intentions. Let the dragonfly be your guide as you soar through the mist of confusion and dismay into the fresh air of awakening.
