This full moon in Leo is igniting the fires of passion in our hearts. It is asking us to be open to receiving our divine calling at this time to gain momentum on aligning with our life’s purpose. The lion within our hearts is ready to roar beckoning us to listen to the vibrations of our very being as we make the ultimate shift.
Be open and ready for change as we really begin feeling the shift we have strived so hard to achieve. We are literally switching tracks and taking the first steps toward realizing our dreams. Manifestation is easy at this time while we are honored with Venus in Aries.
This creates an assertive vortex as we approach the portal leading us to our destined lives. Our Cardinal Aries heart gives us the courage to dive head first as the Leo moon sustains us with strength and loyalty. This loyalty resides with our very souls faithfully moving forward.
Our journey is one of nurturing as we cultivate our dreams into reality. The sun in Aquarius helps us see our plans clearly revealing one step at a time. This helps us remained focused and steadfast. We create best in the present as we allow our intuition to guide us.
Pisces holds our intuition and is helping us dream bigger at this time. We are on the brink of coming face to face with our higher selves and destined lives of purpose, love, peace, and harmony. There’s no better time than now to believe in ourselves and what we are capable of. Butterflies bring the expansion of ideas and fantasy leading to beautiful creations for the world.
We are going above and beyond climbing to the next level of existence. From our state of being, to higher understanding, clarity of consciousness, raising our vibrations, sitting in our truth, settling down in our hearts, finding respite in our souls, and breathing pure life.
Whatever you feel drawn to at this time – do it! There’s no more holding back. It is time to live life to its fullest and embark on the journey you were created to live. There is a whole world out there waiting for you to join in on the splendors ahead. Be open to receiving.
The blessings are bountiful and coming in many different forms. Let go of the parameters and constructs of what could happen or what you expect. These gifts are perfect for you, and may not be what you expect. Receive them anyway. Remain completely open and grateful.
The frost moon draws in crisp winds with a chilly atmosphere. Amidst the cold, we begin to recognize how much warmth is drawn from within. We are a divine source of energy and heat allowing survival through the coldest months to come. As we harness this power a wave of gratitude is washed over the world as we realize how powerful our bodies are. We are also drawing toward the end of the year filled with holidays where we show appreciation for others with love and joy.
We continue our release of this lunar cycle and this year in quiet contemplation. Reflecting on the wavering months, days, moments, we take a step back to perceive the bigger picture of every minute action. It is time to forgive and let go, while never forgetting so we may continue learn and grow. Allow your inner light to guide you to a place of tranquil solitude as you give yourself respite from life to heal and recharge.
Full Moon in Taurus
Taurus is our fixed, earth sign ruled by Venus giving this sign a nurturing stability created from hard work and consistency. Full moons call upon release while bringing clarity and positive opportunity. This one in particular is asking us to let go of rigid ways and traditions that are not beneficial.
We are being challenged to change and transform while still upholding our core ethics to maintain steady footing. As we open ourselves to the new, different, and unknown we are able to take what is necessary in our growth from each while still practicing our values. Let us not dismiss the positive and negative qualities of the old and new, but instead reflect and understand the significance of each that helped us get where we are today.
The sun and Jupiter sit conjunct to one another in Scorpio as they trine Neptune in its ruling sign, Pisces and oppose the moon in Taurus. The sun represents the divine masculine of our conscious thought as Jupiter is our planet of fortune, prosperity and growth. The pair allow for favorable opportunities to grow and transform that we are able to realize on a conscious level.
This duo trines Neptune, our planet of inspiration, spiritual enlightenment and compassion creating expansion in these areas. There is a warm, loving nature as these areas of spiritual enhancement become apparent.
Our masculine pair oppose our divine feminine formed in the moon. The moon in Taurus strengthens our nurturing nature and loving ways of compassion and understanding. The sun and Jupiter create growth as they sit in Scorpio. Scorpio has three different levels. Depending on where we are in that maturation process individually, we will be affected differently.
This may be a time of more struggle for one who does not see the manipulation they use to get ahead materialistically or in their ways of love. Others will be able to find a harmony of peace and prosperity as they learn how to balance old ways with new ideas, beliefs and structures forming more effective behavior patterns. Either way, it is a learning, growing and healing process for us all as we reflect.
The frost full Taurus moon brings a time of reflection, release, positive progress and healing. The tools used for my ceremony will be based upon these factors. My incense of choice will be Amber and Sandalwood.
Amber is known as a powerful cleanser and healer. It works to alleviate stress, anxiety and depression, while also purging disease and restoring revitalizing tissues. Amber stimulates the metabolism, purifies the body, and promotes self healing.
Sandalwood brings relaxation and mental clarity, and serves as a memory booster, anti-viral, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory. There are many physical and psychological benefits to aid in our healing process.
The candles I plan to use for my ceremony will be rich and dark greens to reflect that of Archangel Raphael. He is our Archangel of healing and safe travels, who constantly promotes and aids in our well-being whether physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual.
The stones I will utilize are Amber, Citrine, Green Aventurine and Malachite for this particular ceremony. Amber will be used for the same reasons listed above, Citrine to promote happiness, prosperity and health, Green Aventurine to amplify love, abundance and health, and Malachite as my main stone of choice.
Malachite is one of the stones that resonate with Archangel Raphael. It is the stone of transformation and emotional clarity cleansing the aura and enhancing intuition – perfect for this full moon! Malachite enhances our emotional stability while strengthening our entire body increasing our health.
May this article assist you on your journey as you tune into the moon this evening. Be well and be safe Eternal Waking Beauties! You deserve all of the best and all of the love life has to offer.
The blood full moon occurs every year during the month of October. Some say the blood moon got its name due to the reddish hues of the moon. It is said to be a time of magic, wisdom, and connection. What comes to your mind when you think of blood? The eerie and ominous concept of death? The flow of oxygen coursing through your veins to give your body life?
Whether the end of life or the engine for life itself, blood can take the roll of both. The blood moon marks the sign of a season shift as we begin the end of the year when life around us appears to be “dying.” Life seems to flee from the cold months that are just around the corner. Heat is necessary to sustain life and continue blood flow throughout our bodies. The wondrous magic of life within and around us never ceases to amaze me.
Animals show the sage, inherent wisdom by harvesting from everything around them before hibernating, or migrating toward the equator for winter. How does their natural instinct just kick in? How does ours? It is beautiful to see the intelligence within all forms of life showing how we are truly are all connected from the elements, to the trees, to the birds and the bees. Our bodies are naturally engineered to help us survive.
Full Moon in Aries
Our fiery, trailblazing warriors of Aries are aiding us in our full moon release as we have fully immersed ourselves into fall. They keep us active with a burst of creative motivation as they set the tone for the entire season. There is a lot of masculine power and assertion as we take charge of the plans Libra made at the beginning of this lunar cycle.
We are shedding our selfish ways and looking to make bigger changes for everyone to be able to survive the cold, upcoming season.
Virgo and Mars meet up in the sultry sign of Scorpio creating a powerful shift in love. Romance is in the air filled with passion and sensuality. The couple trines Pluto creating a regeneration of love in our romantic partnerships.
The sun conjuncts Mercury, our beloved communicator as we are able to utilize warm, embracing speech in both our interpersonal and interpersonal conversations.
The moon squares Pluto and opposes both the sun and Mercury. This is creating a minor setback in our growth as we subconsciously hold onto some unnecessary ways of thinking, communicating, and developing.
Because Aries is a fire sign I will be utilizing red, orange and yellow candles. I will pair them with sandalwood and rainforest incense to calm the intensity of our beloved, fire sign. It will cleanse the space and bring us down to earth.
My stones of choice will be dendritic agate, tree agate, and my main stone will be fire agate. Fire agate is said to be a flame captured within a stone. It is able to bring courage, protection and strength during these times of release and transformation.
I plan on focusing on letting go of any irrational aggressive tendencies by asking for conducive outlets for my excessive energy.
Enjoy your beautiful release Eternal Waking Beauties! May your fiery passions blaze a trail of light and love.
Virgos are our earthy, mutable friends in the zodiac ruled by the planet, Mercury. The earth element contributes to Virgo’s hardworking, dedicated and nurturing nature. They embody our Mother Gaia giving others life from her bountiful abundance. Mutable signs help us shift from one season to the next. This particular transition is a time of extreme preparation for cold, winter months paired with a large collection or harvest of goods accumulated throughout the year. Virgos are excellent organizers, efficient, and resourceful. How do you plan on unwinding your year? What are you securing to ensure a successful winter?
We will be utilizing a vast array of communication styles and thought processes with Mercury as our ruling planet. Communication can be verbal or non-verbal including language, gestures, body postures, eye contact and more. There can also be internal or external forms of communication, where we are interacting with other life (or non-life) forms, or conversing within ourselves creating thoughts. Virgo has a very systematic and pragmatic way of thinking that is reflected in their communication style. Be prepared to take on some of these traits as we begin to logistically dissect the world around us.
There are five major celestial bodies residing with one another in the sign of Virgo. As with all new moons, the masculine sun lovingly embraces the feminine essence of the moon aligning our conscious mind with our subconscious mind. This allows us to clearly see our true desires creating a portal of opportunity as our masculine and feminine essences align within.
Mars enhances our innate sense for survival, and assertive instinct to ascertain what is necessary to live. This becomes a major focus as our reptilian brain hones in on the basics of existence. Because Mars rests in Virgo there will be a very “matter-of-fact” approach on how to achieve these next steps toward our goals.
Venus brings an abundance of love and wealth in its many forms. Love can be shown with a kind word, considerate act, or soft touch, while wealth can be accumulated in the forms of money, health, family and friends among other treasures. Due to Virgo’s nurturing tendencies, we will be asked to express our love to help tend to others utilizing our various constructs of wealth.
Finally, Mercury rests in Virgo as well enhancing our abilities to organize and execute our thoughts and actions with a tenacious fervor.
There are many harsh aspects in the sky causing slight discernment. The sun and moon square Saturn, our planet of boundaries and limitations. This is causing a number of obstacles and difficulties to rise to the surface. It is not that they are new, but we are finally able to analyze them in our conscious mind. Now that we are able to see them clear as day, what is our plan of action to get through the trials and tribulations planted around us? This is where the analytical processing of a Virgo’s mind will come in handy.
Mercury and Mars oppose Neptune, the planet of dreams, spiritual enlightenment, and compassion. This may create a harshness in our thoughts and actions. It is okay to be assertive without being aggressive. We do not want to fully detach our empathetic ways, nor from the innocent acceptance of others.
Luckily, Venus and Saturn trine Uranus, the planet of progression and ingenuity allowing for a surge of new boundaries created to better facilitate love and values. Mercury and Mars trine Pluto, which was just reassigned the title of planet again! Pluto brings rebirth, renewal, and spiritual growth. These qualities are occurring in our inner and outer forms of communication and our chosen actions and behaviors. These positive aspects will balance out the hurdles we will face.
What’s with the Moose?
I am not sure why the image of a moose came to my partner and then me before writing this article, but it did. When I looked up what the moose totem represented everything clicked into place. A moose is pretty much our Virgo of the animal kingdom. They are strong, independent creatures that are self-reliable and self-sustaining similar to our Virgos. Moose symbolize communication due to their mating calls, wisdom and abundance for their resourceful nature, and transformation with their innate knack at camouflage which is what this new moon is all about!
Moose bring the message of empowerment, integrity, and unseen abilities. They have a heightened sense of sound and smell, and come out of the womb seeing clearly. Moose encourage us to utilize our senses and trust our intuition. It is time to utilize the strength in our power with our given abilities just like our majestic moose.
Any and all cleansing, renewing, and grounding tools will be beneficial during this time. Sandalwood, Frankincense, Myrrh, and rain forest incense, resin, and oils will be excellent for the grounding and mental clarity process. White, green, and brown candles will enhance those energies in your sacred space.
It is time to sharpen or bring clarity to our third eye, and a soft, understanding to our throat chakra. Aphophyllite and Clear Quartz will be beneficial for the third eye to see the truth of the matter. Blue Lace Agate and Blue Kyanite will bring a gentle tenderness and precise format to our communication styles. Blue Chalcedony is going to be my main stone of choice as it brings a non-judgmental acceptance filled with positive beliefs and comforting energies.
Surround yourself in a pearly white light with a soothing, blue lining as you begin to manifest for this lunar cycle. As for assistance from all ethereal bodies from gods to angels to ascended masters to the fae in aiding you to achieve these goals. Take advantage of this time as we are allowed to make great strides at this phase of the moon.
Happy manifesting Eternal Waking Beauties. Stand up for yourself and all those around you as you exude care and compassion from your loving core.
The harvest moon is when all of your hard work and loving care has left you a bounty of delicious crops from cranberries to sweet potatoes. This time leaves you abundant as you reap your well deserved reward. What have you put all of your energy toward over this past year? We are soon to celebrate the autumnal equinox, and must show gratitude as we begin to unwind.
Appreciate all of the little things, for you never know how really big they could be. There are so many wonderfully prosperous blessings coming to us all. Be thankful for all gifts that are received, both big and small. Remember some are puzzles, so keep a jovial innocence about what is to come.
Pisces Full Moon
Pisces is a fun labyrinth of exploring ideas and feelings as they try to balance these two beautifully entwined phenomenon. Harmony is key in this sign as intuition is fed an array of knowledge. The fish always seeks to continue on their path laid before them.
Pisces consists of two fish who have their tails tied together in the abyss of the night sky. This places them at odds for sometimes one will push one way, while the other pulls in opposition. Our heads may be tugging at us one way, while our hearts cling for the other shore. Our bodies may be frozen due to our soul’s persistent cautions during the time of a Pisces full moon.
There are many favorable aspects in the night sky as Saturn trines Mercury, Venus, Uranus, and sextiles Jupiter. Saturn helps us know our limitations (working 60 hour weeks without self care), create boundaries (let someone know you will not allow their inappropriate behavior in your space), and free ourselves from restrictions unjustly placed upon us (beliefs we are limited and unable to make choices in life). Mercury will be aiding us in communicating each scenario presented by Saturn due to the favorable trine aspect. Our voices will be pure and heard. Venus brings a soft, loving flare to the dynamic allowing for a tender touch among all the drastic shifts. Jupiter gives us a favorable outcome achieved with considerable ease as it sextiles Saturn.
Uranus trines Mercury and Mars – opposing Jupiter. Uranus, the planet of progression (on day 5 of your new work out routine), ingenuity (devising a new way to organize the Q: drive), and intuition also trines Mercury creating effective communication. Mars brings an instinctual assertion to our need for these creative changes altering our lives for the better. With Jupiter in a harsh aspect, we are going to have to work hard and remain persistent to uphold a true transformation.
Pluto sextiles the moon and Neptune while sitting trine the sun. We continue on our path of spiritual growth as we hit another point of renewal creating a rebirth into our soul with Pluto. Our balance in harmonizing the divine masculine and feminine within is done at a conscious and subconscious level thanks to the moon and sun. Dreams have set sail on a sea of inspiration, while our compassion grows nurturing spiritual enlightenment as Neptune helps us ascend to our true form.
The Koi and the Dragon
There is a story of hard work and determination that begins with a school of golden koi swimming upstream the Yellow River in China. The school came across a waterfall, where most allowed the current the carry them downstream. Only a few continued to persist through their obstacle, and launched themselves toward the heavens. After 100 years, one reached the top of the waterfall and transformed into a golden dragon symbolizing imperial royalty and strength.
This story motivates people to remain steadfast and tenacious along their path for the reward will be worth every challenge. Every obstacle is a chance at growth and transformation for the better. Once we return to our souls by lovingly shedding our ego, we will be able to harness our inner dragons.
Picture a koi who acts like it is a dragon, but knows it’s a koi, yet is truly a dragon, and will remain a koi until it lets go of the ego to assume its true form. We are each this koi. Some of us are not able to grow because we act like a dragon with an inflated sense of self (ego), while others believe they are just koi with a deflated sense or self (also ego). Once either or both of these forms are released, we can harness our true nature of the mystical dragon.
For this ceremony my stone of choice will be the pearl. Dragons are known to play with pearls, and create them from their spittle as they fly through the air. They are said to have properties that promote faith, integrity, and purity. Pearls are linked to a mix of earth and water elements for they are created from particles of sand, and hail from the ocean. They are also linked to the moon bringing out the inner goddess to balance emotions while enhancing sincerity and loyalty. The moon and rain forest incense will make a wonderful pair refreshing and cleansing the air around me. Suggested oils or resins would be sandalwood and dragon’s blood. White, light and dark blue candles to aid in cleansing, divine connection, and tranquility will bring a peaceful contentment.
Enjoy your full moon Eternal Waking Beauties. May you all be blessed and surrounded by unconditional love.
A solar eclipse is a time of high energy as the feminine moon places herself in front of the masculine sun. As the sun passionately engulfs the moon in his warm embrace, the moon enhances her own mysterious beauty. The combination projects a profound surge of development and transformation.
The perfect alignment is magnifying all of the truths within and around us like a laser beam stimulating our higher consciousness. The more we reject the natural order of change and timing, the harder this transition will be. Our feminine moon beseeches us to relinquish all restraints of stubborn control as we surrender to the divine timing of life. We are being asked to remain open and allow everything we have been waiting for to flow through us. Our manifestations are coming to fruition as the sun showers us in empowerment.
New Moon in Leo
The new moon in Leo last month asked us to lead with our heart. Now, we are being asked to move forward utilizing the inner knowledge of our souls. Our third eye is begging to remain open, and the thousand petal lotus of our crown is breathing in the universal energies.
Leo has an innate sense of intuition guided by loving compassion. The fixed energies of this sign are not limiting us by cementing us in our old ways, but instead are building a foundation of stability and security. Fire blazes within as our light is one in the same of our masculine sun. Paired with our newfound, solid footing we are shining our innate effervescent light and love as we remain open channels of earthy and universal vibrations.
The Sun (divine masculine: creativity, energy, confidence, universal energies, warmth, happiness, conscious mind), Moon (divine feminine: softness, reciprocity, intuition, earth energies, cool, serenity, subconscious mind), and Mars (assertion, survival, sexual attraction) trine Saturn (boundaries and limitations) and Uranus (progression, ingenuity, enlightenment). This favorable aspect stimulates a lot of intense, masculine energies and pairs them with an intuitive softness allowing for favorable boundaries.
There has been a reoccurring trend with the ability to move forward with a new, inventive spark allowing for many changes. The pairing with the solar eclipse has made these shifts more drastic than they have been previously. We are continuing to discover our limitations and set structured boundaries with ourselves and others leading to healthy ways of being. Both of these circumstances are residing in both our subconscious and conscious minds.
Venus (love, pleasure, values) squares Jupiter (prosperity, growth, optimism) and Uranus, while Jupiter squares Pluto (rebirth, renewal, spiritual growth). This harsh aspect is placing difficulties between love, expansion, and progress. We are being asked to look at our values and evaluate where we want to grow. These changes of rebirth and renewal are not going to be easy, but are extremely necessary.
This solar eclipse really is about drastic changes and these planetary aspects are reinforcing transformations necessary in our lives. These alterations may seem harsh, however, the moment we choose to evolve we will be able to receive all of the gifts the universe wants to shower upon us.
My solar eclipse and new moon in Leo ceremony is going to include open roads, star, and the universe incense opening myself up to infinite possibilities. Each of these aid in the manifestation of my most treasured dreams opening us up to the universe’s prosperity. I will be using white and violet (or lavender) candles to open my crown chakra to the universe and connect me to the source and my own spirit.
Originally I planned on Labradorite, the stone of change and transformation to be my crystal of choice. However, I believe I will be utilizing Rose Quartz more because unconditional love and compassion is going to be needed during these radical times of metamorphosis. I am also being drawn to Sunstones and Rubies that aid in empowerment, abundance, and growth linking to the magical Phoenix.
I am going to focus on the rebirth of myself as I align with my higher consciousness. As I rise from my current ashes with a newfound renewal and revival, I am going to fill myself with a warm empowerment encompassed by love and compassion. I can feel my fire burning, my soul vibrating at a higher rate, and my wings beginning to unfold. I am ready to transform and rise allowing my light to shine and my spirit to soar.
Be gentle with yourselves at this seemingly tumultuous time Eternal Waking Beauties. Allow yourself times of respite and begin to act upon impulses outside of your comfort zone. The universe will embrace you with love and acceptance as you remain true to yourself.
“I’m gonna be a mighty king so enemies beware!” sang Simba in on of the most heart wrenching Disney classics, Lion King. I know, I know, corny beginning, but how many of us as kids staring up into Johnathan Taylor Thomas’s large, cartoon lion eyes really believed we would be a “mighty king” one day? What constitutes a “mighty king”? Who is this person we are striving to be? How are we going to become this sign of nobility and honor?
Some might think a “mighty king” is one who rules over others and is in a place of power exercising it how they see fit. Others might believe it is how one practices their leadership roles whether big or small through an ethical morality of the heart. Everyone will have a different definition or perception of this term. Even if some people agree on core characteristics, they may disagree on additional qualities necessary; therefore making no two definitions of a “mighty king” identical.
Honor, integrity, patience, kindness, tolerance, love. Even these words we use to describe how one can attain the “mighty” aspect of being a king, ruler, or leader of some sort will have various meanings based on the person who is defining them. Right now we are all learning what this means to us. I believe we are no longer trying to work hard on becoming someone, but are rather trying to express who we truly are by becoming connected with ourselves.
A Look into Leo
Leo is a fixed fire sign ruled by none other than the sun. Fixed signs are oftentimes very stable, reliable, hard-working, and loyal. Fire signs are creative, energetic, and passionate. The sun is our divine masculine bringing light, warmth, assertion, happiness, and outward expression. Leos tend to like the materialistic gains made in the physical realm of life such as career achievements, financial prosperity, the newest and best of everything from cars to clothes to accessories, and express themselves in their appearance.
Leos can range from money obsessed workaholics, to pampered house pets only concerned about their looks, to loving and nurturing caregivers, to kind and generous saints. There is an array of diversity among each zodiac sign. The sun sits in it’s own sign magnifying the strong and lovable qualities of our gentle lion, as well as the temperamental and controlling aspects of our shallow dictator.
In Tarot, we find the lion represented on the 8th card of the Major Arcana labeled “Strength”. Eight is the number of prosperity, abundance, material gain, and advancement in life paralleling that of Leo. Strength is the card that teaches us that forceful, controlling power is not always the strongest form of strength. In fact, strength is also recognizing to be patient, soft, and gentle in order to achieve a goal or make a point, and is sometimes more effective than the former nature. This is seen in lions for even though they are ferocious and powerful as the leaders, they are still there to protect and care for all in their pride. There must be a loving and nurturing side in order to achieve the strength of the bonds formed between each member of a lion’s pride.
The sun, moon, Mars, and Mercury all sit in Leo during this New Moon cycle. Both our conscious and subconscious, masculine and feminine, and positive and negative qualities are being amplified in the light of a Leo. We are finding our strength, practicing our roar, and learning how to be a leader. At the same time, we are allowing ourselves to be nurturing, loving, understanding, and kind with others and ourselves in all aspects of our lives.
Mars is adding an element of extra assertion in our public lives, and sexual passion in our private lives. We are trying to enhance the quality of each facet in life whether work, relationships, or self. Mercury is giving us a fiery or loving form of communication depending on what type of Leo we are projecting.
Right now, manifestation is everything. We are truly in the driver seat on this one. Everything can go one of two ways depending on what type of “mighty king” we decide we want to be. We are the leader of our lives. We are choosing the decisions we are making. We are creating the reality of our perception. Do we want to be the dreaded dictator or revered ruler? We have this choice.
There is going to be a gigantic triangle on the night of the New Moon as Mercury trines Saturn and Uranus while they trine each other. This is going to allow us to set clearly defined boundaries with others; whether communication is effective or not is up to us. Either way the truth about our limitations in the various parts of our lives are going to be expressed.
Uranus wants freedom from restraints and restrictions. This too will easily be relayed – again it may or may not be healthy or effective communication. We are finally asking for the freedom to be ourselves. Lines of communication are opening up all around us to facilitate speaking our truths about what we do and do not need and want in our lives. It is important to be honest and gentle as we express ourselves in order to maintain integrity in our relationships whether with a boss, partner, friend, or foe.
The difficult aspects of the sky are the harsh squares of Uranus with the sun, moon, and Mars. Our freedom is of the utmost importance to us right now. The ability to be ourselves without remorse is at the forefront of our minds. We are willing to fight over our ability to fly by expressing ourselves and savoring the moments of bliss we have been longing to feel.
There is no more room for apologies, but it doesn’t mean that we did not contribute to the folly of our own situations. We need to be honest with ourselves as well and know where we have set up these parameters for ourselves to fail. It is not just others and the outside world that is hindering our growth; it is also what we have done ourselves that lies within.
Ceremony to Shine
It is time to do some real soul searching and realize what is is we truly want and need. We must also reflect not only at what has happened in the past, but how we contributed to manifesting our current reality. This way when we express ourselves to others we can let them know what is truly their part, while accepting responsibility for our own. Continue dreaming big and working toward your goals because we deserve all of the happiness and contentment we desire. Planetary aspects are aiding us in various avenues of communication which is the core of all relationships – even with ourselves. Placements are making room for love, softness, and nurturing during these moments.
For this ceremony visualize what it is you want to manifest in yourself, in your life, and in the world. What kind of person do you want to be? What kind of people do you want in your life? What kind of things do you want to achieve? What kind of impact do you want to make? Focus on three major shifts you want to make both inside and outside of yourself and your life. Ask for aid from your guides in manifesting and achieving your soul’s aligned desires. Visualize your perfect world. Feel what it is like to live in that life. Know, believe, and trust that you can achieve all of that and more.
The tools I would use for this ceremony would be some open roads incense for manifesting after a good smudging with white sage, and red, orange, yellow, and white candles to capture purity, stability, creativity, and happiness. I would also include rose, amber, and lavender incense to bring love, light, and peacefulness to this lunar cycle. My stone of choice for this ceremony would be Sunstone.
Sunstone harnesses the energy and light of a sun in a stone similar to our solar plexus. It brings about qualities of warmth, happiness, and light. Sunstone gives us confidence and assertion as we face various endeavors. Wearing Sunstone amplifies our own light empowering our true form in the physical realm. If you are dealing with depression, loss, or grief, Sunstones are a great “pick-me-up” uplifting our souls.
Our beloved full moon in July is known by many names, but these two stuck out to me the most. The Blessing Full Moon heralds from Pagan roots. This time of year is known for bountiful blessings in the forms of blossoming flowers, harvesting crops, and flourishing herbs. Mother Gaia is gifting us with the beauty of her natural splendor. We are being asked to count our blessings and show gratitude back to the Earth. Slow down to smell a flower, take your time as you enjoy a juicy watermelon, and unearth the secrets of burning dried lemon balm. Also, show yourself gratitude for getting through the first half of the year. There have been fluctuating ups and downs this past week, so embrace the blessings that present themselves.
The stagnant heat has most feeling sluggish and unmotivated. The Buck Full Moon brings about strength and a renewal of energy during these times. The Native Americans dubbed July’s full moon as the “buck” moon due to the stags displaying beautiful, full antlers. Bucks are known to have healing powers and are deeply connected to nature. They are noble, independent creatures with a gentle masculinity. Stags symbolize regeneration due to the fact that they shed their antlers and grow new ones every year. We are shedding everything from our past that we have held onto hindering the progress of our lives. If we harness the qualities of our noble buck, we will be able to endure this shift with more ease.
The sun conjunct Mars in Cancer opposite the moon conjunct Pluto in Capricorn bringing about difficult aspects between our conscious and subconscious. Assertive Mars builds upon the masculine Sun stimulating passionate and intense unconditional love as they sit in Cancer. We are drawn to creativity and mobilizing our ideas into action with the power couple of the Sun and Mars. In doing so, we are backed up by our emotions with Cancer in our arsenal adding fuel to our intensely compelling fire. Be aware of abusing your masculine power at this time, and remember the strength in softness.
Pluto, the planet of rebirth, renewal and spiritual growth brings about great transformations with the moon holding our intuition, phases of life, and subconscious. We are at a time of major shifts globally and within ourselves. As we shed layers upon layers of ourselves, we are increasing our intuition in this phase of life. A sense of renewal from our rebirth will strengthen the connection with our true form. Pluto and the moon sit in the tenacious and responsible sign of Capricorn leading to certain limitations in our subconscious. Capricorns are stubborn when it comes to situations that do not make sense to them or do not align with their values. Being able to let go of ingrained beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors is going to be more difficult as Capricorn struggles with relying on intuition.
Jupiter in Libra squares both the sun and moon to let us know that this is not going to be easy with the planet in luck in this difficult aspect. Growth and expansion are magnified in the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual planes of our existence. Know the changes we are making are for the better, and it will get easier in time. Celebrate each success no matter how “small” or “minute” for it is a step in the proper direction. Remember that even if we do take a step back, we are still facing forward.
Neptune in Pisces sextiles the moon and trines the sun enhancing the progression and ingenuity of our lives. We are strengthening our intuition and spiritual nature. It is projecting into our physical realm in the form of shifts in our jobs, romantic partners, or friendships. We are able to see what aligns with our souls, and are putting it into action in our lives. Follow your heart, your passion, your dreams without hesitation. It is time to stand by your higher self and bask in the radiant light of your truth.
The tools I have chosen for my personal full moon ceremony on Sunday are going to aid me in connecting to my higher self, and allowing what resonates with my truth to enter my life. I hope to give myself motivation and courage to work toward what I define as success for my life. Candles, incense, and crystals are the staples of my ceremonies.
The color of each candle creates ties to various chakras, places, and higher powers. I plan on using light blue candles to connect me to the angelic realm facilitating communication with the divine. Purple candles will instill spiritual awakening as I open my third eye to dimensions not seen. Lavender candles will connect me to the universe, and white candles will cleanse my space while opening my crown chakra to the source.
Incense can bring different energies to a space. For this ceremony, I want to use the planet to help ground me during this time of high spiritual frequency. I also plan on using the star to help fulfill my wishes and dreams that are aligned with my soul.
Finally, I create crystal grids to help increase the intensity of my intention. The main crystal for this ceremony is going to be Labradorite, the stone of transformation. Labradorite helps facilitate change with strength and perseverance as we fight for our true identity. It fills us with confidence and inspiration linking us to our intuition and awareness of our innate abilities. Labradorite also shields our aura and deflects unwanted negativity projected upon us by others.
Take flight toward your destiny as you harness your inner light. Connect to your true self during this time of extreme ups and downs. Practice gratitude and faith in yourself, your path, your decisions, and your guides as you undergo this transformation. It is not going to be easy, however, when is life ever a constant of simplicity? Life is an eternal continuous ebb and flow of change and uncertainty. The best we can do is open and unblock all channels allowing infinite possibilities to pass through us. I hope you are able to realize the truth of the beauty that lies within and around you Eternal Waking Beauties. Sending light and love!
As mentioned in my article Summer Solstice 2017, the sun is currently residing over the Tropic of Cancer. The astrological sign of Cancer is ruled by the moon, which governs our emotions. The moon also controls the tides having a strong effect on water, and Cancer is our cardinal, water sign.
Water signs experience emotions, intuition, and dreams on a grandeur scale than other signs. These traits are amplified by the moon as it harnesses the Divine Feminine Yin aspects of life such as our subconscious, introversion, empathy, time, softness, and our Mother Gaia. The sun is the polar opposite as it vibrates with the frequency of the Divine Masculine Yang energies of our conscious mind, extroversion, action, space, assertion, and the universe. Both the sun and the moon sit in the same astrological sign during a new moon. We are often asked to balance the divine masculine yang and divine feminine yin within us to promote harmony of masculine and feminine traits creating yin yang. Because the sun and moon are both in Cancer, we are asked to balance the two water traits previously mentioned: emotions and intuition.
Balance and Harmony
Lately, the masses have been undergoing moments of extreme emotions. Sometimes our feelings are dealt with a harsh, masculine abruptness of manic moments in bouts of intense anger and joy. Other times with a soft, gentile touch, we nurture our feelings of overwhelming sorrow and fear. It is important to find a balance as we experience each of these emotions by not allowing the masculine nor feminine to overpower us.
It is okay to feel each and every emotion as they should be felt, but we need to channel them in ways that are not detrimental to ourselves or anyone else. Practice focusing on the opposite feeling for each state if any one emotion is being held onto for a lengthy period of time. When angry, focus on what it feels like to be at peace. When joyful to the point of erratic delirium, focus on what it feels like to be calm. While feeling sorrow, focus on what it feels like to be content. And while afraid, focus on what it feels like to be safe and secure. Balancing our emotions allows us to experience our intuition more intensely.
As our intuition heightens people have been feeling the intense vibrations of the energy fields surrounding us from other individuals to the earth beneath our feet. Many have been undergoing a change in taste. Foods they once desired have become stale, bland, and downright unbearable. Some are experiencing intense visual stimulation as they are able to see energy waves and auric fields. Others are trying to fine tune their hearing as they are more sensitive to even the slightest noise. While experiencing each of these many want to do one of two extremes: act on our masculine instinct to tell the world and make a million lifestyle changes, or our feminine instinct to hide it from the world and pretend it doesn’t exist. These moments can be very exciting or terrifying depending on how comfortable we are with our intuition.
It is important to take it slow and allow it all to register before jumping into complete alterations of our lives. It is one thing to want healthy changes such as altering the foods we eat and creating an exercise regimen. However, if we overwhelm ourselves, it is easier to experience burnout. The desire to give up if we do not stick with all of the changes we have made is greater than slowly adding in one thing here or there. An example would be adding 2 hours of daily gym time to our schedule and becoming vegan in one day versus 3 days of an hour at the gym and eating only organic over the course of the next month. Then, adding an hour at the gym on those 3 designated days and taking out red meats for the next month. The gradual change as we up the ante on our goals each month will be an easier transition then jumping in eyes wide shut, and more beneficial than making no changes at all. The same goes with our spiritual intuition as our body becomes more accustomed to these new sensations.
The sun, moon, Mercury, and Mars are all in conjunction in the sign of Cancer. The outgoing sun and introverted moon allow for thoughtful and expressive communication while alongside Mercury. This is a time of high activity as the assertive sun and determined Mars pair with the social intellect of Mercury. Creative juices are flowing and movement toward attaining our goals has begun. We have made our plans and now we are acting upon achieving our dreams with thoughtful consideration at each junction.
Uranus sextiles both the sun and moon as we open to new ways of creating changes in our lives and in ourselves. Everything around us will become subject to question as we yearn to be unique individuals. We are able to rebel from what does not resonate with our souls on both a conscious and subconscious level. The lines that were once fuzzy have become clear in perfect focus as we steer our lives down our path of choice.
Saturn opposes both the sun and moon creating limitations at this time. We will find difficulty in wanting to have control over others and situations out of our hands leading to mistrust of others whether newly acquainted or longtime friendships. Now that we have mapped out the “perfect” plan to get us to our desired destination, we do not want anything to get in our ways. Every little mishap will perturb us, but we must remember that we will achieve our aspirations regardless of the bumps in the road or alternate routes we need to take.
We have thoughtfully scrutinized our course of action, and constructed a thorough blueprint. Now we are given the creatively motivated independence needed to put all of this planning into action thanks to the planetary aspects paired with the cardinal facet of Cancer.
New moons signify the beginning of a new cycle among us. I will be using red, orange, and yellow candles for a burst of fiery, creative, and determined energy to jettison me forward toward my goals. Paired with each will be the opposing color of green, blue, and purple to bring balance and harmony allowing a gentle calmness to my assertive willpower. My incense of choice are Amber for comfort, happiness and healing, and Sandalwood for protection, purification, and spiritual awareness. Lastly, my stone of choice to complete the ceremonial tools is a set of Boji Stones. Boji Stones are the only stones with a masculine and feminine pair to help us balance the yin and yang within. They are also grounding and protective allowing our true nature to flourish. I plan on writing down what I want for this new lunar cycle – harmonizing my divine masculine of yang and divine feminine of yin within me, taking steps one-by-one to reach my dreams, and remaining understanding and compassionate toward others and myself during this process. I like to keep my New Moon Lists and check off each accomplishment as they are completed. Happy manifesting Eternal Waking Beauties!
The New Moon on May 25, 2017 at 1:45pm PST will be in the air sign of Gemini. Gemini is represented by a set of twins. The twins are often able to see different perspectives to every situation and have many varying interests. Because of this, Gemini is an indecisive sign and often stretches themselves very thin. You are more likely to find Gemini doing research until they know every detail about all of their options so they can make the most informed decision possible. This fits their air nature of intelligence and wit. Air signs are also independent, social, and charming. Gemini are also mutable signs, which prepare for seasonal transitions. Mutable signs are highly adaptable, problem solvers, who are detail oriented and resourceful. We are about to enter Summer, and Gemini is helping us transition from brand new, blossoming ideas to finding a steady footing and making concrete plans to reach our goals. Gemini is also ruled by the planet Mercury, which controls our communication and thought processes.
During this New Moon, our higher selves are trying to aid us in our forms of communication by teaching us to be soft and gentle with others. Even if we have good intentions, our body language and tone of voice do not always reflect the message we are trying to convey. This is often a roadblock Gemini face as they can be received as abrupt, blunt, and sometimes cold. We are being asked to be more open and accepting of others and embrace their differences, which is not difficult for most Gemini. However, we want them to FEEL welcome and accepted so it is important that we are aware of all forms of communication – not just what we say, but how we say it, what our body language is saying, and listening with sincerity.
Communication and self-expression are controlled internally by our throat chakra, Vishuddha. It is important that this chakra remains balanced during this time so we can speak our truth without feeling shame or guilt by expressing ourselves. There are many techniques to balance this chakra, ensuring that it is performing at its optimum level. Vishuddha is associated with the color blue, the element of sound, the Bij Mantra Ham, the key note G, the Dhyana Mudra, and yoga poses such as Halasana (plow pose) and Matsyasana (fish pose).
I personally meditate on the color blue as I repeat the mantra “Ham” while listening to singing bowls in the note of G with my hands in the Dhyana Mudra. I will follow my meditation with some Qigong exercises and yoga poses. I often have Sage, Rosemary, or Cedar wood burning throughout this process, and grid myself in blue crystals such as Lapis Lazuli, Blue Lace Agate, Blue Kyanite, and Blue Calcite. Once completed, throughout the day I find myself not only thinking before I speak using a gentle kindness, but I also notice that I LISTEN with a fine tuned, objective ear.
We often forget that listening is half of the communication process. Our higher selves are asking us to listen fully to what the others are saying non judgmentally with an open heart to ensure the most sincere and insightful responses. This is extremely important for the New Moon since everyone is going to want to be speaking their peace. Instead of thinking about what you are going to say next, fully process what you are hearing. Wouldn’t you want the same courtesy? Effective communication is extremely important in building all types of relationships whether family, friends, romantic partners, business associates, acquaintances, or even strangers in passing.
Note: The Dhyana Mudra is when we cross our fingers on the inside of our hands with palms face up and thumbs gently touching.
The planetary aspects on the night of the New Moon are going to have a major impact on our relationships with others. The planet we will be focusing on is Venus. Venus will be in the fiery sign of Aries allowing us to be more outgoing, charming, witty, and flirtatious. When Gemini is in a social mood theses characteristics tend to present themselves, and with this placement they will all be enhanced. You will find yourself taking initiative in social circles, business endeavors, and even in romantic encounters whether these qualities resonate with your personality or not. Be prepared to surprise yourself. Venus is sextile Mars bringing a lot of passion into each encounter. People will see the fire and intensity behind our words and body language.
There is going to be a huge back and forth between our ego and spirit as Venus trines Saturn and opposes Jupiter. We are going to have a tendency to want to show off in a pretentious and almost superficial manner to our cohorts, peers, and romantic prospects, while also remaining humble and sincere in partnerships. More confusion will be brought to the table as Venus is in conjunct with Uranus causing us to yearn for romantic experiences, yet refuse the overly sensual commitment to just one person. This aspect will, however, allow us to be more accepting of all people. Finally, Venus will square Pluto bringing forth many intense feelings of passionate love.
The passion mentioned with Pluto is different from that of Mars. Mars is enhancing our inner passion for the aspects of life that inspire us and call to our soul. Pluto’s passion is sexual, sensual, and intense on a physical, ego based level. Once we transcend the ego we are able to move beyond passion into the realm of unconditional love that is more intense than any passion ever experienced because it is on a soul level.
Our higher selves want us to enjoy the pleasures of the physical realm because it is a part of the human experience, however, we are being warned not to allow our souls to be consumed by this physical nature. It is requested that we remain humble, and experience all of these passions with unconditional love. This does not mean we need to attach ourselves to one person if we are single. A part of unconditional love is the ability to let go and understand that nothing and no one truly belongs to us in the physical world. So, we must live these passions and let go with a gentle, respectful love.
I encourage anyone performing any ceremonies this Thursday to have Blue Lace Agate present. Blue Lace Agate is a stone of truth. It not only allows us to speak our truth, but also encourages the act of listening with sincerity. Blue Lace Agate resonates with the throat chakra, and helps remove any blockages. There are many stones and crystals that promote communication, however, I believe Blue Lace Agate is most effective for this New Moon because it promotes soft and gentle forms of speech. This stone is very calming and gives the wearer a sense of peace and serenity.
I enjoy the presence of candles and incense during my ceremonies to enhance my intention. I encourage blue (preferably light blue), white, and lavender colored candles to facilitate the connection between your higher self and communication center. If the candles are reiki infused, I suggest the throat, third eye, and crown chakra candles, or spirit, harmony, peace, positive energy, and love votives. My incense recommendations would be Rosemary and Cedar wood (similar to my meditation) as they resonate with the throat chakra.
Since the New Moon is all about manifestation, I would suggest utilizing this ceremony to manifest what you want within yourself. How do you want to effectively communicate? What do you want to work on in social interactions? Are you having a hard time finding the right words to say? Do you think you are an effective listener? How do you want others to receive your words? Do you care how others perceive you? What do you want out of your various relationships? How will you make those goals a reality?
Take your time to really think everything through (as a Gemini would), and write it all down. Keep this list somewhere you will see it every day to remind yourself of the changes you want to make in yourself and your relationships. As you notice these manifestations occurring in reality, allow yourself to bask in your accomplishments. If you notice you fall short some days, forgive yourself because it is okay and we are all human. Learn from your mistake, and try to do better next time by remaining mindful. I hope you all received this New Moon report well. Happy manifesting Waking Beauties!
