Strawberry/Rose Full Moon

Friday, June 9th, 6:09am PST

The Native American Algonquin tribe gave the Strawberry Moon its name due to the  harvesting of this delicious fruit. Strawberries are the first fruit to ripen in the year, and can easily be found growing wild.

Because the leaves group in threes, they represent the holy trinity bringing about righteousness and spiritual integrity in Christian faith. Native Americans used the leaves as a blood purifier, diuretic, and anti-inflammatory. The heart-shaped strawberry symbolizes purity and passion giving us a sweet innocence with a twist of romance. Strawberries are one of the many crops of the rose family.

Europe coined this the Rose Moon due to the fact that strawberries are not native there. Roses are known to symbolize love in many forms depending on the color of the blossom: red signifies a passionate, romantic love, yellow – a love between friends, white – the purity of love, pink – the innocence of a first love, and lavender – a love of a spiritual nature. Roses also represent beauty, sensuality, and devotion.

The Strawberry, Rose Full Moon is a time of appreciation, romance, and ripening as the symbolism states. Gratitude for everything we already have brings contentment by lowering the desire held within our ego ultimately bestowing peace within ourselves. We are being reminded to enjoy the splendors of our labor shown in our accumulation of material wealth. This includes everything from money, to a roof over our heads, food in our stomachs, loved ones in our lives, and the enjoyment that comes with each attainment. Expressing gratitude brings a romantic energy into our lives.

People often believe romance is only between a coupled partnership. However, romance can be found in solitude as we soak up the beauty of our surroundings, the life captured in a flower as it breathes to the rhythm of the earth, or a sweet melody that pulls at our heart and moves us in ways we never thought possible. Romance is everywhere; we just need to have our hearts and souls open to receiving it.

Once we truly appreciate all that we have and discover the constant presence of romance in the world, we will be able to begin ripening as our soul opens and expands to the universe. We are reaching a point where we are blossoming fully into ourselves and our lives. As we reach the pinnacle of our ripened state, we will begin amplifying our awareness and aligning with our true path to fulfill our soul’s purpose. Self discovery is occurring among the masses over the course of this year. Now all we need to do is aim for our destiny.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius is the centaur and archer. They are known to be enthusiastic, jovial, adventurous, spontaneous, and idealistic. Ruled by fire, this element enhances their power, passion, determination, and creativity. Sagittarius is also a mutable sign, which prepares for the change of a new season as we enter summer. Mutable signs are highly adaptable problem solvers, who are resourceful and detail oriented. Jupiter is the ruling planet of Sagittarius bringing good luck, prosperity, growth, and optimism.

Be prepared to find your inner fire as it surges creativity and passion into your life. Once we discover our goals, we will be able to enjoy every moment of the process with enthusiasm and an adventurous spontaneity. Not to say there won’t be difficult moments, but when we are aligned with our higher self, we are jettisoned toward our true purpose with ease. The fact that Sagittarius is a resourceful problem solver aids us immensely through this journey. Paired with Jupiter, we will be showered with an extra amount of magic bringing luck and prosperity. Jupiter will be placed in Libra during this lunar phase, so we will more likely be favored during moments of morality, giving, and philanthropy.

Planetary Placements

Three of our planets are placed in the zodiac sign they rule over.

The first is Mercury in Gemini. Mercury is the planet of our thought processes and communication, and Gemini is all about utilizing their intellect and speaking their truth. Self expression and sociability are going to be major factors during this lunar cycle. The needs of our soul will be met as we voice the truth of our higher selves and network to create the community we have been looking for (business associates, friendships, etc). It is important to work on connecting the higher three main Chakras during this time to facilitate accurate speech using our soul’s intellect over our ego’s.

Venus in Taurus is the second planetary and zodiac pairing. Venus is the planet of love, pleasures, and values as it rules over the earth sign of Taurus. Taurus is hardworking, nurturing, and enjoys routine and material comforts. This alignment is bringing stability and dependability into our daily schedule creating a strong foundation for everything to come. We are at a point where we will be accumulating more than enough worldly abundance. This allows us more freedom to harness the adventurous Sagittarius’s need to travel and try new things. The world is our oyster.

Lastly, we find Neptune in Pisces. Neptune is the planet of dreams, spiritual enlightenment, and compassion, while Pisces is highly sensitive, intuitive, and spiritual. This is going to open our sensitivity to the vibrations of the world and universe, and enhance our connection to our spirituality and souls. We are going to find ourselves noticing the ties we have with everyone and everything around us. As we open up to the realm of infinite possibilities we will align our subtle bodies and see truth with clarity. Record your dreams as these are lessons our soul is learning while our physical form is asleep. Notice any trends and address them while awake.

We are in the process of making a progressive transformation in the direction of our lives. For the past year we have been shedding our physical ego form to connect to our higher beings and raise our vibration, which in turn has lit up the collective consciousness allowing more to awaken. Each of us is going to find an innovative way to express our true self. As we shine in a unique way and make the connections needed to achieve our destiny, we are going to accumulate a vast amount of wealth on a soul level.

Ceremony Tools

During the full moon, we are often in the process of releasing. In order to transform, the first step is letting go. Right now we are being asked to continue shedding the last remaining parts of our ego that we keep clutching as a safety blanket. Once we relinquish these final hooks from our soul, we will be able to manifest our destinies fully by connecting to our true form. The tools needed for this ceremony include sage, incense, candles, crystals, a pen, and paper.

In preparation for all of my lunar ceremonies, I create crystal grids with the main stone of choice in the center. For this ceremony, I have chosen Strawberry Quartz as the focal point.

Strawberry Quartz brings clarity and amplifies the properties of other stones around it. It also promotes love, gratitude, and generosity. As it balances and aligns our subtle bodies, we are able to gain insight and understanding into our purpose on a spiritual level. The Strawberry Quartz vibrates with the same energy of the Strawberry Full Moon, and is enhanced due to the planetary placements of this significant time.

Next, I smudge my space with white sage. I will begin by asking my guides of choice to be present, and help me release the last parts of my ego as I shed the final feathers of my plumage in my phoenix form. Using my left hand I rotate my sage bundle counter clockwise creating small circles. As I continue this motion in my wrist, I also form larger counter clockwise circles as I extend my arm. Once I complete three full rotations, I switch to my right hand and move clockwise in the same manner. Counter clockwise circles cleanse the space of old, stale energy that is charged, whereas clockwise circles draw in positive energy to my space. Finally, I light my incense and candles of choice.

I have chosen Red Rose incense for this particular ceremony. Red Rose is perfect for the Rose Full Moon by drawing in love and light. I plan on pairing my incense with pink, white, green, and lavender or violet candles. Pink candles will draw in more gentle love, white will help keep my space cleansed, green will ground me during this process, and lavender or violet will connect me to my higher self and universe. My intention is to release the facets of my self that are no longer needed with love as I express my gratitude for how they have helped me in the past.

I will picture a miniature form of myself bearing all of this fear, anger, resentment, pain, and behaviors that bring feelings of guilt and shame sitting in my palms. As I smile and thank her for all she has done to protect me to see that justice was served, I will give her a little kiss. From there I will let her know she does not need to harbor these feelings for me anymore because I intend on becoming an open channel allowing these feelings to flow through me without holding onto them. Lastly, I will give her one last kiss and set her free as she floats to the universe.

Once done with this process, I will record everything I want to unhook onto a piece of paper. As I write each aspect with loving intention, I visualize each hook releasing from my being. When I am finished with my list I will light it on fire with my pink or white candle. I chose fire to aid in my release since Sagittarius is a fire element. Once my list has completely turned to ashes, I will picture my phoenix form doing the same. Afterward, I thank my guides for being present and protecting me with love and light during this process. I continue to sit and meditate until my candles and incense have finished burning out.

I hope you receive this article with love. Happy releasing waking beauties!

Inner Goddess Mala

“Inner Goddess Mala” by Eternal Waking Beauties

The History of Malas

Malas are Buddhist prayer beads. The most common Malas have 108 beads made of an array materials such as wood, Rudraksha seeds, shells, pearls, bone, saffron, gold, silver, copper, amber, and semi-precious stones. Depending on if you are trying to recite mantras, count your breaths, overcome obstacles, purify and cleanse, or increase abundance and prosperity different materials and number sequences are suggested.

It is often said that the mantra used for our intent does not have to be traditional. If we did not grow up speaking Sanskrit, then do not worry about memorizing 108 Tibetan mantras in that tongue. One of my gurus of sorts told me if I want peace and calm, then recite “peace and calm” with each passing bead. The purpose is to ingrain your intent into your subtle bodies by using repetition.

Stones and Properties

Each stone, crystal, and “rock” has various metaphysical properties. Many overlap, but no two are the same. In the creation of the Inner Goddess Mala, I selectively chose these three stones based on the energies needed for every Goddess.

Tibetan Turquoise is the most efficient healer, and enhances communication. It is a purification stone that balances and aligns chakras. This allows us to speak our truth with a gentle honesty as our subtle bodies are purified and balanced.

Hematite harmonizes mind, body, and spirit. It dissolves negative energy, and restores peace to the body. Hematite also boosts self-esteem and survivability. It is said to be grounding as well, however, some find hematite to be such an energy booster that they do not feel grounded.

Onyx offers support during difficult times, and heals grief and sorrow. It gives strength, vigor, and stamina, and alleviates overwhelming fears and worries. Extremely grounding and protective, onyx absorbs energies from the universe to heal its owner.

Numerology

Numerology is the study of numbers and the vibrations each produce. These numbers were chosen based on the energy they harness for the Inner Goddess Mala.

4 is the number of the Archangels revealing their presence. It is also ruled by Uranus, which is the rebel. Uranus symbolizes breaking down the infrastructure at hand to create a new, more efficient way of life. The number 4 brings qualities of stability, security, logic, patience, and loyalty. This is the phase in life where we shift from awareness of groups of people to our own foundation. We must tend to our roots before we can grow.

6 is the nurturer of the numbers, and is ruled by Venus. This enhances the compassionate, empathetic, and selfless nature of the 6. During this phase of life we are often becoming more domestic, and entering a life of parenthood as we become teachers for our young ones.

8 is the number of prosperity and abundance. It is ruled by Saturn and Karma. Saturn is the planet of rules and limitations as we begin to set boundaries for what we do and do not want in our space. Karma is often accrued during this time with the misuse of the abundance we receive. The number 8 represents strength, confidence, and success. This is often a time in our lives when we are able to make great strides in our professional life and receive accolades in the form of material gain.

11 is the master manifestor. It is the first of three master numbers, and pertains to individual enlightenment. We become connected to our higher selves and begin to know and live our life purpose. 11 amplifies the divine male energies of the Sun, and when reduced equals 2, which is ruled by the Moon and divine female energies. This brings a balance and harmony to the two dichotomies represented. We are able to combine our intuition and subconscious to our conscious mind of assertion and creation.

12 is the number of completion, and is represented as such due to the number of months in a year, hours in a day, and astrological signs in both the western and eastern zodiac. It is a spiritually developed number since it is already balancing the Yin and Yang of the divine feminine and masculine. When reduced, 12 adds up to equal expansion and growth.

Qi

Qi is the life force or prana. It is the energy within and around us that flows to ensure balance and harmony between the Earth (Yin) and universe (Yang). If you haven’t figured it out yet, Yin represents the divine feminine of intuition, softness, time, and understanding, while Yang represents the divine masculine of creation, happiness, space, and tenacity. Qi can be drawn from people, plants, animals, elements, crystals, objects, and more. Even though objects aren’t “alive” they do still have an energy.

This particular Mala was infused with heart chakra Qi and grounding, Mother Earth Qi. The heart chakra, Anahata, represents compassion, unconditional love, empathy, and self-acceptance. It is represented by the colors green and pink, the element of air, and the mantra Yam. Mother Earth aids in stabilizing our natural frequency bringing our pure form to light.

If you are interested in purchasing a Mala, please contact me via my contact page. Prices vary depending on stones used. Requests can be made, or I can custom them based on what my intuition and guides think you need.

Flower Full Scorpio Moon 2017

Photographers Unknown. Edit and blend by Eternal Waking Beauties

Full Moon

The full moon is a time of culmination, fruition, clarity, and attainment of desires. It is when we reflect on what patterns and behaviors have not been working, and we release them to the universe. The illumination of the full moon sheds light on our subconscious allowing a better understanding of our inner thoughts. It is a time of harvest when we are able to reap the benefits of what was sewn during the new moon. The full moon also represents the mother, since it is ripe and full similar to the belly of a pregnant, expecting mother. This brings a nurturing and fertile aspect to this lunar phase. However, some tension may arise as the polarity of the moon and sun are positioned in antithetical zodiac signs. Each month brings a new dichotomy of opposing forces, and a different type of full moon.

May’s Flower Moon

The Flower Moon is a time of invigoration as we become fully submerged into spring. The flowers blooming, baby birds chirping, and wild strawberries peeking through the grass bring new life filling us with an electric fervor as we embrace each day. With the sun on our faces and the wind at our backs, we are ready to take advantage of every moment gifted to us. The Flower Moon also brings a sense of refreshment and openness as we open our homes to the world around us cleaning out any remaining debris from winter. It is the perfect time for spring cleaning as we get rid of the clutter and organize our lives for the upcoming year. It is important to let go of clothing, furniture, and any other unused items around the house to allow an open flow of energy through our living space. While we clear out our environment, it is essential to make the same transformations within.

A Scorpio’s Transformation

Scorpio is the only zodiac sign that has three stages of three different animal totems symbolizing the transformation one makes. The first is that of the scorpion. During this phase, Scorpio is very true to it’s innate nature of being a water sign, and is ruled by their emotions and instinct. Oftentimes, they have low self-awareness and self-control. This dangerous combination creates a poisonous, vengeful creature who is willing to be manipulative and vindictive to get their way. When a Scorpio becomes aware of their power and abilities, they become an eagle soaring in the sky. While an eagle, their new perspective allows them to be ruled by intellect and rationale. This new lens of practicality launches them into one successful endeavor after another based on their personal goals. However, with the presence of their ego, Scorpios still have the tendency to be manipulative and exploitative. Once they are able to relinquish the existence of their ego, they are able to transcend to the final phase of a phoenix (or dove). The phoenix represents the death and rebirth of a Scorpio into a symbol of peace and healing. It is said that phoenix tears can heal wounds, and a Scorpio’s true nature lies in their power to heal. Once they become self realized about their true power and purpose they are able to flourish into their true nature.

Release & Regenerate

Scorpio is a fixed water sign giving qualities of loyalty, reliability, and goal oriented drive to the emotion based, whimsical attributes of water signs. They are also ruled by the planets Pluto and Mars. Pluto is the planet of death, regeneration, rebirth, and spiritual growth, which is what Scorpios undergo throughout their transformation stages. Mars is the planet of assertion and survival. Scorpio has to learn how to harness these qualities in a loving way in order to be effective. As our subconscious is being pulled to the surface, we are being asked to look at these aspects within ourselves to decide what needs to “die” and degenerate so we can be reborn into our spiritual truth. Awareness of our innate power and relinquishing our ego allows us to rise into our higher selves. With the sun in Taurus, we are able to remain grounded and practical during this major internal shift. Taurus also ensures that we gently nurture ourselves with love and compassion during this process. We must balance finding happiness with what we have and the complex unknown of possibilities that the opposition of the sun in Taurus and moon in Scorpio bring.

Ceremony Tools

Some tools that can help during this process are incense, candles, and crystals. A perfect incense for this full moon is Frankincense and Myrrh. This winning combination promotes spirituality, meditation, and purification. Burning Frankincense and Myrrh during your full moon ceremony will facilitate the connection to your higher self. Some great candles of choice during this time are ones that will promote love, healing, and cleansing. Pinks, purples, and whites can enhance these properties. There are Reiki infused candle options as well. Lastly, the crystal of choice for the Flower Full Scorpio Moon on the 10th is Rainbow Obsidian, which releases energy blockages, heals past traumas, and shines light on unresolved issues. It is a grounding and protective stone since it is a part of the obsidian family, however, it is a bit more gentle and enhances love. With these tools surrounding you during the full moon, write down everything you see within yourself that you want to release in order to embrace your inner power of love and light. Writing itself is a form of release as you are detaching these aspects from your physical form by putting it on paper. This list can be in bullet form, and by no means needs to be the next literary masterpiece. Keep it simple and honest. Once you are finished, submerge your list into water, and picture everything you wrote down dissolving from your body and soul. When the ink has all lifted off of the parchment, the ceremony is complete. Be grateful by thanking your spirit guides for their presence and yourself for making time to self care and self love.

“Self-love Bath” by Eternal Waking Beauties

“I AM love. I AM light. I shine my love. I love my light.” -Eternal Waking Beauties

• • • • • • • • • • • •⠀⠀

Today I have been in dire need of love and care. I can always ask it of the world, however, I will only feel the full effect if I do it myself. So, I decided I will self-love, self-care, and self-soothe. One of the easiest ways for me to do this is relax and recharge with a cleansing bath as I submerge into water. I chose some Himalayan salt and cleansing epsom salt to diffuse my charged energy. I also picked a rose from my “garden” to aid in my skin care, and create a feeling of love and harmony. Finally, I chose red jasper to center and ground me and my Qi, lepidolite to soothe my nerves and anxiety, blue chalcedony to further calm and relax my subtle bodies, and serpentine to aid in my self love and care. I encourage everyone who needs a break from life to garnish your bath with healing tools such as these for a deeper cleanse. ⠀⠀
